Best batsman – David Miller
A left-hand batsman, David Miller is a product of the Maritzburg College. He made his first-class debut as a 17-year-old and scored an unbeaten 63 against the Warriors in his maiden outing.
Although his first-class numbers are modest, he has been very successful in limited-overs cricket.
The southpaw scores his runs at more than a run-a-ball in one-day cricket and has an impressive strike-rate in Twenty20 cricket.
Apart from playing for South Africa and the Dolphins in Twenty20 cricket, Miller has also played for Durham and Yorkshire.
A powerful middle-order bat, he is also an outstanding fielder. Kings XI Punjab signed him before IPL 2011 and opted to retain him from their side from 2013, after his stunning effort of 418 runs in 12 innings.
