Key overseas player – George Bailey

This 29-year-old Tasmanian is a right-hand middle-order batsman. He is one of the leading run-scorers in the Australian domestic circuit.

While he’s yet to make a mark in the Twenty20 format, he is quite highly rated and was even appointed skipper of the Australian Twenty20 side on debut. Although Bailey has been with the Chennai Super Kings since IPL 2009, he has only had a handful of outings till now.

But on his day the middle-order player can go between earning a single a ball to shots that reach ad clear the boundary, and while the Kings have plenty if overseas talent including Shaun Marsh and Glenn Maxwell, Bailey could have the biggest impact.
