This Karnataka batsman is a talented stroke-maker who has all the shots in the book. He is a utility cricketer who has batted in various positions.
He is also an outstanding fielder, a reliable wicketkeeper and can even bowl slow medium pace.
Uthappa was signed by the Mumbai Indians, before being traded to the Royal Challengers Bangalore. He was signed by the Pune Warriors India at the IPL Player Auction 2011.
Last year, he played all 16 games for PWI, and in a franchise laced with superstars, he was the highest run-getter for the team.
