Most expensive player – Yuvraj Singh

The RCB broke the bank to land Yuvraj Singh this season, paying 1400 Lakhs ($2,333,000) for his services.

On the surface the price tag is fair enough for what Sing can bring to the team, and even though he is on the wrong side of 30, he can still be a match-winner for any team he plays for.

His price is not the highest ever for an Indian player in the IPL, that honour belonging to Gautam Gambhir in 2011, but it is up there.
