Arsenal are prepared to compete with Chelsea and Manchester City for Real Madrid’s Isco.
According to the Daily Star, Jose Mourinho and Manuel Pellegrini are keen on the Spain international’s signature, yet they are set to face increased competition from the Premier League, as Arsene Wenger is rumoured to have joined the transfer chase.
The report claims that the Gunners are set to table a bid in the coming days – and the 23-year-old could be the French manager’s desired marquee signing of the summer.
As the Daily Star state, Wenger has made a habit of completing one major signing in the summer window; two years ago it was Mesut Ozil in a £42.4m deal from Los Blancos and last year it was Alexis Sanchez for £35m from Barcelona.

The playmaker could be tempted into leaving the Santiago Bernabeu this summer if a suitable offer is tabled – perhaps one that promises regular first-team action, the English newspaper claim.
With Toni Kroos, Luka Modric, James Rodriguez, and Jese Rodriguez competing for a place in Rafael Benitez’s midfield next season, Isco may feel anxious at the possibility of limited playing time in the Spanish capital.
Nonetheless, Arsenal continue to be heavily linked to Karim Benzema, and with a plethora of options in the centre of the park at the Emirates, the arrival of an experienced striker to challenge Olivier Giroud would surely be the favoured signing in north London.
