Arsenal confident of beating Chelsea & Man United to stunning £42m signing
According to reports, the manager is very interested in acquiring the 20-year-old Frenchman.
“I already signed Moisander from Ajax and I am trying to get Zouma, because they are very physical players,” Ferrero told reporters.
Despite Sampdoria’s interest in Zouma, it is not clear whether he will be able to make an exit from the club. The defender joined this club from St Etienne last January for £12 million, and is in contract with Chelsea until 2019. If he were to leave Chelsea this summer, it would most likely be on a loan term.
Zouma was not a regular starter for the Blues this season, but still played in 28 matches for the Premier League and League Cup champions. Manager Jose Mourinho seems to favour Gary Cahill and John Terry over the youngster.
