The England international made his long awaited return from an ankle injury against Sunderland on Wednesday night but is believed to be frustrated with his current role at the club.
In his absence, the 23-year-old has since dropped to being the club’s fourth choice midfielder, and may consider to move on elsewhere at the end of the season, according to reports in the Daily Mail.
Both Manchester City and Liverpool have been linked with a move for his signature in recent weeks, as they both view him as a potential first team regular, but all talk has been blocked by the Gunners, who aren’t thought to be looking to sell him on.
However, with the likes of Aaron Ramsey, Santi Cazorla and Francis Coquelin ahead of him, he may look to leave during the impending transfer window.
