Arsenal midfield favourite to quit the club this summer
Arsenal has also been linked with the Colombian international, but Metro reports that their north London rivals will announce a deal in the summer.
Martinez is said to have had interest from a raft of Premier League clubs and Tottenham will need to splash around £20m for the former Chiapas star.
Spurs boss Mauricio Pochettino views Martinez as a perfect strike partner for Harry Kane, with Roberto Soldado netting just seven goals in 50 league appearances since joining the club in 2013.
Martinez’s record in the Portuguese top-flight is extremely impressive and it’s no wonder Spurs are willing to part with a big transfer fee for the 28-year-old.
The Colombian has scored 63 goals in 85 appearances for Porto since making his debut for the club in 2012.
Martinez also has a solid record at international level, averaging a goal every three games.
