Jacksonville Jaguars rookie wide receiver Allen Robinson injured his hamstring in training camp practice, and he is expected to be out for a couple of weeks.
Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Allen Robinson injured his hamstring in practice, so he is expected to be out for a while. This marks additional bad luck for the Jaguars at wide receiver that has begun since Justin Blackmon’s troubles with the law.
NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport estimated that Robinson will be out for “a couple of weeks.” This makes the Jaguars’ depth chart at wide receiver extremely thin.
Cecil Shorts is out with a hamstring injury, and Ace Sanders will have to serve a four-game suspension to start the season.
Robinson was selected in the second round by the Jaguars along with Marqise Lee. They were expected to provide depth at the position and be weapons for rookie quarterback Blake Bortles.
The second-round pick performed extremely well at Penn State, catching 97 passes for 1,432 yards and six touchdowns.
If Robinson can rehab from his injury, he should be ready for the regular season, but the Jaguars will need luck on their side for all their injured receivers to recover smoothly.
