Manchester City midfielder James Milner could be set to snub a summer switch to Liverpool as they look increasingly likely to miss out on a spot in the Champions League, according to The Sun.

Milner’s contract at the Etihad runs out this summer and the Reds have been attributed to be frontrunners for his signature over the summer transfer window.
Manager Brendan Rodgers has been hoping to lure the 29-year-old with the promise of regular first team football and a role in the centre of midfield.
However, the England international is also keen to play European football next term, too, but with the Reds slumping to one victory in five outings their quest for fourth place now seems destined to fail and they are hanging on to a place in the Europa League by the skin of their teeth.
This could mean that Arsenal and Roma will be favourites to snap him up, and though he and his young family are hoping to remain in the northwest he may be tempted with a move elsewhere for the good of his career.
