Manchester City midfielder James Milner is reportedly in talks with with Arsenal and Liverpool as possible transfer destinations in the upcoming transfer period.
According to Sky Sports, Milner is looking to sign with either of the Premier League clubs on a “Bosman free transfer” this summer, while Man City has reportedly offered him terms of a deal to stay before his contract expires.
After setting a five-year high with 5 goals in the 2014-15 season, Milner looks as good as when he first was acquired by Man City from Aston Villa in 2010. Milner also recorded two goals for Man City in the FA Cup tournament this past year.
But Milner was only given the start in 18 of his 32 Premier League appearances for Man City this past year, and at age 29 Milner wants to play for a team that will give him as many starts as possible even if it means leaving a perennial contender like Man City.
Milner will reportedly not make a decision about his Premier League future until after several upcoming international games for the England National team. England plays in a friendly against Ireland on June 7 and against Slovenia in a European qualifier on June 14.
