Honda could well be in the Premier League come January.
Arsenal, Everton and Liverpool are all keeping tabs on coveted CSKA Moscow attacking midfielder Keisuke Honda, with the aim of signing the Japan international this January, according to the Daily Star.
AC Milan have been keeping a close eye on the 27-year-old, but failed to sign Honda before the transfer window closed.
The Japanese star is keen to leave Russia, but is not giving anything away while still playing in Moscow.
“I have many choices, but I want to compare as much as possible,” Honda was quoted in the Daily Star.
“I don’t think there’s a chance I will stay in Russia.
“I just need to focus on the Russian league and the Champions League, so I don’t want to talk about this right now.”
Honda has played in the Russian capital for three years after a transfer from Dutch side VVV Venlo in 2010 and has gone onto play 109 times in all competitions – scoring 26 goals and providing the same amount of assists.
The midfielder is also a regular feature in the national team and to date has 47 caps and has scored 16 times – playing at the World Cup in 2010 and netting against Cameroon in the group stages.
Several top sides from England have been showing themselves to be keen on Honda and the Japanese ace has a great reputation in both Russia and the attacker’s home nation.
