The 27-year-old was out of contract after leaving Hercules.
Johor Darul Takzim have unveiled former Atletico Madrid and Real Zaragoza striker Braulio Nobrega as their latest signing this morning.
Goal Malaysia report that the 27-year-old has joined after his contract with Spanish second division side Hercules expired, managing just 14 games and five goals at the Estadio José Rico Pérez during the 2012/13 season.
It has yet to be disclosed how much Johor have had to fork out in order to bring the Puerto del Rosario-born forward to the Larkin Stadium, while the terms of the Spaniard’s deal at the Malaysian Super League side also remain a mystery.
What can be speculated is where Nobrega will be deployed by incoming manager Cesar Ferrando Jimenez, and it’s expected he will form an attacking alliance with fellow Southern Tigers new-boy Pablo Aimar that should leave supporters salivating.
However, it raises the question as to where Leonel Nunez will fit into the side, with rumours continuing to spread that JDT will allow the 28-year-old Argentinian to leave for pastures new, especially after the acquisition of two supreme talents for the 2014 MSL campaign.
