Namath had some kind words to say about New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady, who just won the fourth Super Bowl ring of his career.
“No one’s ever been better. No one’s ever been better than Tom Brady, I don’t believe. And I go back to watching the guys earlier in some of the darker days, in the ’50s,” Namath said to the MMQB.
Brady has widely been regarded as the best quarterback of all time in recent years, and he has even more of a case in being up there with former San Francisco 49ers quarterback Joe Montana.
It’s also hard to argue with the fact that Brady was the first quarterback to ever lead his team to a Super Bowl victory over a No. 1 defense, which the Seattle Seahawks had for the second consecutive season.
