The Costa Rican is set to wear the number 10 shirt for the Yellow Submarine this season – with the club giving a crucial insight into what position he will be taking up over the coming months.
Campbell himself spoke of the desire to prove himself at the club and take to the responsibility of playing in such an important role for the side.
“It’s a nice number that also carries a lot of responsibility, I hope to work hard to do it the best, way,” he said.
“I want to spend these four months in the best way and succeed here. I’m very happy.”
Campbell, who is out of contract at the Emirates Stadium at the end of the season, has featured just ten times in all competitions, failing to score in a single one.
This could be his last stand in an Arsenal shirt with Wenger sending him out on loan for three of the four seasons he has spent in north London.
The news also begs the question of how close Paulista’s deal in the opposite direction is now.
