Chelsea boss Jose Mourinho is remaining tight-lipped on his pursuit of Everton defender John Stones this summer.
The Premier League champions have been heavily linked the 21-year-old over the past two weeks, and reports yesterday stated that Roberto Martinez would demand £30m and a Blues player for his signature.
Jose Mourinho has since provided an update on the speculation, and when asked if another bid for Stones was expected, he replied with a simple, ‘no’, and added:
“I don’t speak about players from other clubs, especially now competition starts,” as quoted by the Express.
“It starts for us and Arsenal now [Community Shield] and next week starts for everyone. It’s enough for me.”
Following the sudden emergence of interest from Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are both rumoured to have entered the chase for the in-demand centre-back.
