John Stones helped the Three Lions pitch a shutout against San Marino this weekend.
Nobody at Stamford Bridge lost interest in Everton defender John Stones when the transfer window closed, as the club is poised for yet another crack at the young defensive star.
According to the Metro, Chelsea have renewed their interest in the Everton and England national team defensive superstar and are readying their 5th bid for the 21-year-old for a January transfer.
Everton have rejected four bids ranging between £25-35 million since the start of the summer, not even considering offers that have fallen short of the £40 million asking price.
John Stones has helped Everton remain a top team in the Premier League since joining from Barnsley and has been a star on the national team. With Stones on the defense, England crushed San Marino in a 6-0 win, and the team on the whole has allowed just 11 goals since 2014 when Stones first joined.
Though Stones reportedly submitted a transfer request last month, he has since declared that it was a mistake to do so and refused to transfer during the summer.
