A slow start to the 2015-16 season has done nothing to diminish the friendship between Terry and Mourinho.
John Terry has had a fair share of struggles for Chelsea this year – then again, so has the rest of the team – but he has no intentions of leaving and his relationship with Jose Mourinho is as strong as ever.
According to the Express, John Terry said in a recent podcast interview that despite prodding from talk-personality Piers Morgan to leave the team and join Arsenal, the thought never crossed his mind. Terry also added that he has the ultimate respect for Mourinho and would even jump in front of a bus for the Special One.
“I couldn’t do that. I could never play for any Premier League club other than Chelsea,” Terry said. “Jose’s the best manager I’ve ever had. I’d chuck myself under a bus for him.”
Terry was sent off with a red card during the club’s first and only win of the season against WBA and missed their loss to Crystal Palace the following week. To date, Chelsea are a whopping eight points behind current table leaders Manchester City.
“At the moment, we are losing matches and not getting results,” Terry said. “But step by step we are going to be back on track.”
