A rumour – reported by the BBC – claiming that an unnamed Chelsea player told a journalist that he would rather lose than win under manager Jose Mourinho has been refuted by captain John Terry.
Blues skipper Terry told media at a press conference on Tuesday that the story was “ridiculous”, adding that, if he were to hear a teammate make such a statement, the traitor in question “wouldn’t get out of the dressing room”.

“In my whole football career, I’ve never heard a player come out with them words,” Eurosport quote Terry as saying. “It’s ridiculous I have to talk about it. If player said that they wouldn’t get out of the dressing room… “I can assure you now that he players are 100% behind the manager.”
Terry’s comments were delivered in a jovial way, but it felt like he was deadly serious. The 34-year-old is Chelsea’s leader and one of Mourinho’s chief disciples.
If any player dares to undermine Mourinho in front of Terry, he best do it somewhere he can easily escape – not the dressing room!
