Liverpool captain Jordan Henderson is a major fitness doubt for their early-season blockbuster against Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium on Monday.
The England midfielder has not taken part in training since limping out of Liverpool’s 1-0 win over newly-promoted Bournemouth with a foot injury.
Henderson took painkillers in a bid to get him through the game at Anfield, but was forced off early in the second half and was replaced by Emre Can.

Although there is no broken bone, Henderson’s discomfort in the ball of his foot is a real cause for concern for the Reds ahead of their trip to London, according to the Liverpool Echo.
Should Brendan Rodgers not wish to risk the 25-year-old against the Gunners, Can is likely to start in a holding role, and James Milner will wear the armband.
