Jose Mourinho has admitted that Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech is not “totally happy” at Stamford Bridge after being dropped for Thibaut Courtis, fulling speculation that the experienced stopper could leave the club this summer.
Cech lost his place as the club’s long-serving first choice for the Blues’ opening Premier League victory at Burnley, and Courtois’ performance suggested that he is likely to keep his place.
Mourinho praised Cech’s reaction to the disappointment, but admitted that he isn’t totally content at Stamford Bridge:
“Petr is a top professional. He is working as always, behaving as always, being a squad man as always, being a Chelsea person as always.”
“Is he totally happy? I don’t believe so.”
Mourinho’s comments are likely to fuel the rumour mill, which has suggested that Ligue 1 duo Paris Saint Germain and AS Monaco are both interested in signing Cech.
