Final confirmation of the ‘Special One’s’ intentions this summer.
Real Madrid head coach Jose Mourinho will make a dramatic return to Chelsea next season according to Borussia Dortmund boss Jurgen Klopp, reports the Sunday Mirror.
The Portuguese apparently told his counterpart at Dortmund the identity of his next managerial location after the Santiago Bernabeu in the immediate aftermath of watching Los Blancos lose the first leg of their UEFA Champions League semi-final 4-1 to the Klopp’s men on Wednesday night.
It appears almost an open secret in the world of football that the self-styled ‘Special One’ will depart the Spanish capital come the summer after having spent three tumultuous years with the La Liga giants, where he won the championship last year to finally bring an end to fierce-rivals FC Barcelona’s domination of Spanish football.
However, despite an incredible win percentage of 72.35 in his 170 matches in charge of Madrid, the Spain-based players in the Real dressing room have by all accounts grown weary of the Portuguese, with both parties now happy to go their separate ways, paving the way for a stunning return to west London six years after Mourinho was sacked by the Blues.
If Mourinho does return to Chelsea, the Sunday Mirror say he will also attempt to sign Borussia Dortmund star Robert Lewandowski.
The Poland forward stunned Real Madrid with a virtuoso performance in their UEFA Champions League clash, scoring all four of BVB’s goals, and seems to have made a sufficiently strong impression on the Portuguese manager to attempt a summer deal to bring him to Stamford Bridge.
