Arsenal player ratings after Chelsea stalemate: Gunners tried their hardest but couldn’t breach Blues defence
Chelsea remains in first place in the Premier League standings with 77 points, and Arsenal fell to third place despite being tied with Manchester City as they both have 67 points.
The Blues are only two wins away from winning the title after their draw with the Gunners, and Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho acknowledged the Arsenal fans’ chant.
“You know, boring I think is 10 years without a title. That’s very boring. You support the club and you’re waiting, waiting, waiting for so many years without a Premier League title, so that’s very boring,” Mourinho said to The Telegraph.
Mourinho was correct when he shot back at the fans, as Arsenal has not won a Premier League title since 2004.
The Blues manager also has bragging rights due to the fact that he has remained unbeaten in 13 matches against Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger.
Despite consistently being in the running in the past by placing in the top four in each of their past 10 seasons, Arsenal has ultimately come up short.
Chelsea, Manchester United and Manchester City have made up every single title in that span, with Man United winning five of them.
The Blues can win the Premier League title on Saturday with a win over Crystal Palace on Saturday. All they have to do before that is beat Leicester City, who is in 17th place, on Wednesday.
