Chelsea club doctor Eva Carneiro will not be at this afternoon’s Premier League game at Manchester City.
The Spanish medical professional has had her duties altered following the much-discussed incident which occurred during last weekend’s 2-2 draw with Swansea City.
She is no longer responsible for attending first-team training or matches after clashing with manager Jose Mourinho on the touchline.
Mourinho launched a verbal assault on Carneiro as he was frustrated when she ran onto the pitch to treat Eden Hazard – a decision which briefly forced the Belgian off the field and thus left the Blues momentarily down to nine men, after Thibaut Courtois had earlier been sent off.
What Mourinho shouted at Carneiro was obviously not complimentary.
According to MARCA, who cite Sky Sports as their source, Mourinho called Carneiro a “slut”, as well as shouting “stop, for f*ck’s sake”.
Although MARCA say Sky Sports revealed the content of Mourinho’s foul rant, we were unable to find the original article online.
