St George Illawarra left without their best player for important first month.
St George Illawarra coach Steve Price will be forced to re-shuffle his side for the first four weeks of the upcoming NRL season, after Josh Dugan was ruled out injured until round five.
Price, who is already a short-priced favourite to be the first coached sacked this season if the Dragons again have a poor start, got the bad news today.
Dugan was taken from the field in his side’s Charity Shield loss to the South Sydney Rabbitohs, where the Red V again looked devoid of options in attack.
Thanks for the tweets everyone! Time to get stuck into my rehab! Minor set back just makes me hungrier to be better! #marchwithus #redv2014

The New South Wales fullback suffered a lateral ligament tear in his ankle, and will be qucikly working to get back on the field to help new halves pairing Gareth Widdop and Sam Williams, as the Dragons look to put their poor 2013 season behind them quickly.
