It took Pedro 30 minutes to do what Juan Cuadrado couldn’t do in six months.
After Chelsea’s new winger Pedro dominated the first half of their 3-2 win over West Bromwich Albion, the club’s use for £23 million flop Juan Cuadrado has vanished.
According to Sky Sports, Cuadrado is close to joining Serie A champions Juventus on season-long loan. The Italian outfit were hoping to secure a deal for either Schalke 04 star Julian Draxler or Borussia Dortmund’s Henrikh Mkhitaryan, but Juventus execs reportedly found it too challenging to reach an agreement with either of the Bundesliga clubs.
Chelsea first acquired Juan Cuadrado on a £23 million transfer out of Fiorentina back in February, but he struggled to make an impact and made just 15 total appearances during his time with the Blues.
Pedro, meanwhile, recorded a goal and an assist in the first 30 minutes of his debut with Chelsea as the Blues picked up their first win of the season.
Juventus are in need of help in the middle after veteran Andrea Pirlo moved to New York City FC, Arturo Vidal went to Bayern Munich and with a potential departure of superstar Paul Pogba.
