Juan Cuadrado did not enjoy a particularly impressive debut season in English football.
The Colombian winger joined Chelsea from Fiorentina in a £26.1m transfer in February, before going on to 14 first-team appearances for Jose Mourinho’s Blues without scoring a single goal.
Cuadrado wore 23 on his back during his first half-season at Stamford Bridge, but he seems to have been handed a new number ahead of the 2015-16 campaign.
The no.11, which was vacated by club legend Didier Drogba earlier this summer, looks like it will be given to Cuadrado, if aggressively-spreading internet rumours are correct.
Before Drogba, the last four players to wear Chelsea’s no.11 were Oscar, Damian Duff, Boudewijn Zenden and Dennis Wise.
