Arsenal
Arsenal have already come out and denied they’ll be seeking Klopp’s services which is a shame on the one hand because for some time it seemed the German was the natural heir to Wenger.
Not so much a decision over belief in Klopp it seems, more one over respect for Wenger’s contract, his experience at the club and timing.
If this announcement were coming in 2017, you can imagine Klopp would be a-top the Gunners list of potential Wenger successors.
But it’s not and lest we forget, the Frenchman looks to have refound his spark, now has the resources and the team looks as if it’s ready to challenge again – it’s not as if Arsenal are staring down the barrel.
It’s a shame but Klopp just isn’t need at this current juncture, and if he moves to another club in the interim it will likely rule him out of a move to the Emirates for good.
