Reports in Italy claim the Argentine ace is set for Turin.
Manchester City striker Carlos Tevez is on the verge of signing for Juventus according to the Italian media, as reported by football-italia.net.
Sport Mediaset claim that the 29-year-old has agreed personal terms with the Turin giants, and will now await an agreement between the clubs ahead of a proposed switch.
He is part of a three-man shortlist that Juve are looking at in order to boost their front-line this summer, with Fernando Llorente already secured for the new season.
Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain and Stevan Jovetic of Fiorentina have also been rumoured as potential targets, but it appears Tevez has won the race to be their marquee signing this summer, although the Montenegrin star remains on the radar.
The former Manchester United ace has scored 74 goals in 148 games for the Premier League outfit, and has reportedly been persuaded to lower his wage expectations in order to push the move through.
However, it remains to be seen just how close Tevez is to clinching a move to Italy, with neither the player’s representatives nor either club confirming the reports.
He is also rumoured to be wanted by big-spending Ligue 1 side Monaco, who have already acquired the likes of Radamel Falcao and Joao Moutinho in their bid to challenge PSG next season.
Nevertheless, if reports in Italy are to be believed then Tevez is ready to shun their interest in order to test himself in Italy, with the Bianconeri having the additional appeal of being in the Champions League next season.
