The influential agent has made no secret of his opinion on the Pogba transfer saga, revealing on Thursday that if Joan Laporta becomes Barcelona president, then a move to Spain is a real possibility.
While Chelsea and Man City are also reportedly interested in the French international, it remains to be seen whether or not he leaves Turin at all given that he has stated he is happy with the club.
However, Marotta has suggested that the Catalan giants are the most likely to sign the 22-year-old given the relationship between the two clubs which will in turn be a blow to the Premier League duo.
“Those who want Paul will have to negotiate with Juventus, not with Mino Raiola, who is only his agent,” he said, as reported by Football Italia.
“We’ve been negotiating with Barcelona for months, from one club to the other, in a serious and transparent manner.
“This is the right way to do business between two teams that have so much history and importance in the world of football.”
The Serie A champions will be against doing business this summer though given that they have already lost Carlos Tevez, Andrea Pirlo and potentially Arturo Vidal to come.
Nevertheless, should either Chelsea or Man City meet their demands for Pogba, then they could yet beat Barcelona to his signing.
