Juventus keen on young Celtic striker
Italian giants Juventus are currently eyeing young Celtic striker Gary Hooper, according to BBC Football.
The Celtic striker has impressed this season, and is currently the SPL’s top scorer.
He has scored eighteen goals this season already, with two goals in the UEFA Champions League helping his club reach the knockout stage.
The 24 year-old has yet to earn a senior cap for England, but his razor sharp form in front of goal has led to comparisons with Wayne Rooney.
Juventus are not alone in monitoring Hooper. Norwich manager Chris Houghton was recently spotted watched Celtic’s recent game against Motherwell, in which Hooper scored the only goal of the game to secure a win for his side.
Celtic coach Garry Parker recently called the possibility of Hooper leaving as ‘madness’.
Should Hooper leave Parkhead, it will surely only be for a side competing in the Champions League, with their increased spending power likely to push the deal through.
