The Brazilian youngster has been on the Turin club’s radar for several months now after learning that he could be on the outs under Jose Mourinho, who questioned his quality during his side’s run in for the title.
And reports in Italian media, the Serie A champions are hoping to secure the 23-year-old’s signature at some point in the coming week.
However, despite Mourinho’s comments and dropping him late last term, he has insisted that the playmaker will still be at Stamford Bridge when the new campaign kicks off.
“Of course [Oscar will be here next season]. He’s just signed a contract a few months ago,” Mourinho said.
“He’s one of players with the best contract, one of the players with long-term contract.
“He’ a boy of 23-year’s-old that Chelsea bought when he was a kid three years ago.
“He’s obviously in the best period of his career.
“Obviously we don’t want to sell him.”
Oscar linked up with the Blues back in 2012, and has since gone on to make 151 appearances for the club, scoring 30 goals in the process.
