Juventus could switch their focus to the signing of Bayern Munich winger and Chelsea target Xherdan Shaqiri after struggling to sign Lukas Podolski from Arsenal, according to reports in Italy.
Tuttosport claims that Juventus are only looking to bring in Podolski on a season-long loan, but that Arsenal are looking to sell him and bring in a transfer fee for him while they can this summer.
Elsewhere, Calciomercato.it claims that Juve could look at bringing in Shaqiri from Bayern as an alternative, with the Swiss international keen to leave the Allianz Arena due to not being a regular starter for Pep Guardiola’s side.
The talented 22-year-old was also linked with Chelsea and Liverpool earlier this summer, though it is thought that Bayern rejected a number of offers for his signature as they hope to keep him as part of their squad options.
