After being snubbed by Ibrahimovic, Juventus may look back to 2012 summer target.
Italian giants Juventus are said to be considering making another serious attempt at signing Liverpool forward Luis Suarez this Summer.
The Daily Express has reported that because of the failed attempt to lure PSG striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic to Turin, the club may once again try and swoop in for the Uruguayan.
Suarez has been enjoying his best ever season with The Reds, having already scored 22 league goals, being the real bright spot during another disappointing season for Liverpool.
As the team is in a re-building process, it must make sure it keeps hold of world-class talents such as Suarez if they are to return to Champions League contention.
Suarez last year committed his long term future with the team, signing an extension that will keep him at Liverpool until 2018.
With five years remaining on Suarez’s deal, the power remains in Liverpool’s hands. It therefore seems unlikely that Juventus would be able to match any asking price for the 26-year old, with the Anfield side far from keen to sell their prime asset.
Suarez leads the Premier League in goals scored, and is one of the top favourites for the PFA Player of the Year.
