Ogbonna and Diamanti set to join the Turin giants.
Juventus are preparing to make a double signing as midfielder Emanuele Giaccherini is on the verge of joining Sunderland according to La Gazzetta dello Sport.
The versatile 28-year-old is set to join the Premier League outfit in a deal reportedly worth €8m, and it is understood that Antonio Conte will move immediately to reinvest that money back into the squad with a swoop for Alessandro Diamanti.
The former West Ham playmaker was instrumental for Bologna last season, scoring seven goals and providing 11 assists before representing Italy in the Confederations Cup last month.
The 30-year-old scored a memorable free-kick against Uruguay in the third-place play-off game, but has been a regular fixture of Cesare Prandelli’s squad for some time now.
In addition, Juve are expected to wrap up a deal for Torino defender Angelo Ogbonna in the coming days, with the Italian international arriving at the club’s medical center for tests on Thursday morning.
It continues what has been an impressive transfer window thus far for the Serie A champions, who will be bidding for a third consecutive league title next season.
It is understood that Giaccherini has already given the green light to his agent on a switch to join up with Paolo Di Canio’s men, and the two parties will begin discussions over personal terms.
The utility man is said to have been one of Conte’s favoured members of the squad given his ability to be deployed in numerous positions, but his failure to secure a regular place in the first-team will see him ply his trade in England next season.
