The agreement led to the decision that the 22-year-old midfielder will join Barcelona for the 2016-17 season. The terms of the deal have not been disclosed, but recent reports suggested that the deal was in the ballpark of £64 million (£57m in cash plus another £7m in add-ons) for the midfield ace.
The news might prove especially devastating for Chelsea, who the Metro reported were offering a massive package to Juventus for Pogba including Oscar plus £35.5 million, giving it a total value of approximately £56.8 million. Manchester City were also reportedly in the mix, willing to offer as much as £71 million (€100 million) to bring in the French star.
A former member of Man United during a very short stint in the Premier League, Pogba joined Juventus in 2012 and promptly became a midfield ace that that helped the team win three straight Serie A championships. Considered one of the best defensive midfielders in the world, Pogba even helped Juventus make it all the way to the Champions League final, where they lost to Barcelona.
