Kangaroos coach Tim Sheens has named ten debutants in his 24-man squad for the upcoming Four Nations Tournament.
With a number of high profile withdrawals, Sheens has been forced to turn to the next generation of Kangaroos.
Brisbane’s Ben Hunt was selected after a breakout season, while South Sydney premiership players Dylan Walker and Alex Johnston are in line to debut.
Beaten grand finalists Josh Jackson and David Klemmer have also been rewarded for strong seasons.
Other debutants include Penrith winger Josh Mansour, while Aaron Woods (Tigers), Aidan Guerra (Roosters), Daniel Tupou (Roosters) and Sione Mata’utia (Knights) have also been selected for the first time.
“We have a really good blend of experience and youth,” Sheens said.
“The positive for me is the experience that even the debutants have. We have a high proportion of State of Origin representatives and premiership winners and they all deserve to wear the jumper.”
