Chiefs surprise no one by selecting offensive tackle with first overall pick.
With the first selection in the 2013 NFL Draft, the Kansas City Chiefs bolstered their offensive line by selecting Central Michigan tackle Eric Fisher.
Fisher has seen his draft stock rise to meteoric levels, throughout the off-season, as scouts are drawn to his incredible upside, size and power off his first step.
Fisher will be plugged in at the left tackle immediately from the first day of the 2013 season, and is expected to stay there for the next 10 years,
At six foot six and 306 pounds, the 22 year old will look to compete with even the most skilled of pass rushers early on, and use this size and strength advantage to keep newly acquired Quarterback Alex Smith upright and able to operate the West Coast offence.
Despite questions surrounding the level of competition he faced in the week MAC conference at college, the tape shows the obvious talent of the young player, and is a smart and safe pick for the rebuilding Chiefs.
