The Kansas City Chiefs prevailed 41-39 over the Cincinnati Bengals in an offensive outburst between the two teams.
The Chiefs and Bengals engaged in a high-scoring battle, but the Chiefs ultimately won 41-39. This score was awfully similar to their last playoff game except they won this time.
For the Bengals, Andy Dalton looked solid on his sole drive as he completed 3-of-5 of his passes for 71 yards, including a 53-yard bomb to A.J. Green.
Jeremy Hill led the Bengals’ running backs in rushing with 36 yards on six carries, but quarterback Matt Scott led the team with 68 rushing yards on only six carries.
Scott also performed well on throwing plays by throwing for two touchdowns on 7-of-11 passing. Jason Campbell did not look as good since he threw for two interceptions, including a pick-six.
Alex Smith struggled in his preseason debut with only 19 yards passing and a lost fumble. Chase Daniel looked solid though as he threw 8-for-10 for 126 yards and a touchdown and interception.
Cyrus Gray shined at running back for the Chiefs with 55 rushing yards on 10 carries, and tight end Travis Kelce caught a 67-yard touchdown pass.
