Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema will be staying in Bernabeu despite constantly the subject of rumours linking him with a move to Arsenal.
The French international was never interested in moving away from Real Madrid. Sky Sports reports that the star striker is happy at the Bernabeu.
“I’m at the best club in the world and I’m going to continue to work every year. I’m happy where I am,” Benzema said.
Benzema has been a consistent force for Real Madrid during his six-year stint with the La Liga giants.
The 27-year-old striker scored 15 goals in 29 starts for Real Madrid last season, and he has notched up 88 goals throughout his career with the Spanish giants.
Meanwhile, Arsenal will again rely on Olivier Giroud for goals after failing to sign another striker during the summer window.
The Gunners declined to spend any money after signing goalkeeper Petr Cech, and they find their depth being tested even more with Danny Welbeck out due to knee surgery.
