Real Madrid and France striker Karin Benzema has been linked with a move to Arsenal all summer.
Although no deal has yet been announced, Italian journalist Emanuele Giulianelli seems convinced that the 27-year-old is headed to North London.
He shared his confident opinion with his 30k Twitter followers on Monday.
Not confident there will be announcement of Benzema today, but before deadline day yes. #Arsenal #AFC

Furthermore, Giulianelli, who has written for FourFourTwo and La Gazzetta dello Sport, claims to know what squad number Benzema will be given at the Emirates. Earlier this month, Giulianelli revealed that Benzema will take the no.9 jersey at Arsenal.
Arsenal’s no.9 was last worn by Lukas Podolski.
Before Podolski, it belonged to Park Chu-Young, Eduardo, Julio Baptista, José Antonio Reyes, Francis Jeffers and Davor Suker.
However, Arsenal’s no.9 looks a lot more glorious if you look back to the 90s – a decade in which Alan Smith, Paul Merson and Nicolas Anelka wore the striker’s jersey.

Despite Giulianelli’s confident claims, many bookmakers remain skeptical about Arsenal’s chances of signing Benzema during the current transfer window.
skyBET and Ladbrokes are still offering 2/1 on Benzema being a Gunners player once the window shuts.
