The players were shell-shocked by the loss as junior forward Willie Cauley-Stein refused to shake hands, and guard Andrew Harrison was caught muttering “F*** that n***a” about Wisconsin’s Frank Kaminsky.
To make matters worse for Kentucky’s future, all of their best players are expected to declare for the NBA Draft. This includes Cauley-Stein, who is being projected as a lottery pick.
Cauley-Stein all but confirmed that he will be leaving Kentucky after three seasons.
“It’s time to take another step. I mean, obviously, I’m not 100 percent on it, but I’m pretty sure I know what I want to do,” Cauley-Stein said to ESPN.
ESPN NBA Draft expert Chad Ford has him rated eighth overall in his top 100 ranking, and his size will be a welcome addition to any team since he is seven feet tall and can play hard defense.
Karl-Anthony Towns, Andrew Harrison, Aaron Harrison, Trey Lyles, Devin Booker, Dakari Johnson are their other key players who are likely going to possibly declare for the NBA Draft.
