NBA rumors: Scott Brooks to be evaluated by Oklahoma City Thunder
Although they beat the Minnesota Timberwolves, the New Orleans Pelicans defeated the San Antonio Spurs and held the tiebreaker for the final playoff seed.
Thunder small forward Kevin Durant expressed his displeasure, and he let out his frustration that has obviously come from the Thunder’s struggles and his injury woes.
“I’m definitely pissed. I heard a lot of stuff during this time I’ve been injured from everybody. From different people. Definitely pissed. Can’t wait until the first game,” Durant said in the Thunder’s exit interview.
Durant has endured surgery on his right foot and sprains to his big toe and ankle to go with a Jones fracture.
Point guard Russell Westbrook was forced to carry the load for the Thunder, and he won the NBA scoring title in a bittersweet moment as the Thunder narrowly missed the playoffs.
Durant will be a free agent in 2016, and rumors previously floated around that the reigning MVP will be traded.
