Batsman continues to receive plenty of support via social media.
Out of favour batsman Kevin Pietersen continues to use social media to support himself in the wake of the shock decision by the England Cricket Board to effectively end his international career.
The right-hander was the first big name to fall by the wayside after England’s horror tour of Australia, where they handed back the Ashes 5-0 and only won a single limited overs game, finishing the tour 12-1 to the home team.
Despite talk of Andy Flower, captain Alastair Cook and other senior players would feel the selectors axe, only Flower and Pietersen have been shown the door or stood down.
The decision to get rid of Pietersen, based more on supposed behavioral problems off the field as much as his average form on it, has caused widespread backlash in recent days, with the ECB copping the brunt of it.
As Pietersen continues to mourn the end of his international career, his posted an info-graphic outlining his stats while playing for his country in Test cricket at Lords.
As a result another wave of support came for Pietersen, with many cricket and sports fans wondering how the side is meant to rebound from their tour of Australia without, arguably, the most talented batsman in the side.
