Left calf strain continues to plague English middle-order batsman.
After dispatching Australia with a ruthless 347-run victory at Lords their only concern is the fitness of Kevin Pietersen.
The middle-order batsman had a poor Test with the bat, scoring just two and five in his two innings, before failing to take the field on day four with the injury.
England batting coach Graham Gooch admits the selectors will look at potential replacements for Pietersen because they can’t guarantee the South-African born star’s availability.
“Whether he will be fit for Old Trafford…he’d be in doubt,” Gooch said. “I’m sure there will be some cover supplied.”
Hope you all having a great day in this weather.. Been stuck on a sofa tightly fastened to an ice machine since 8am! Glorious rehab..
