Finn will be wearing red for the next two seasons in a big move for the glamour team.
Kimi Raikkonen will partner Fernando Alonso at Ferrari starting next season after agreeing a two-year deal, the Italian team confirmed.
“Scuderia Ferrari announces that it has reached an agreement with Kimi Raikkonen. The Finn will join Fernando Alonso in the driver line-up for the next two racing seasons,” read a statement on ferrari.com.
For Raikkonen it marks a return to Ferrari, with whom he won the world championship in 2007, after the Finn rejoined Formula One in 2012 with Lotus following a two-year absence.
“I am really happy to be returning to Maranello where I previously spent three fantastic and very successful years,” said Raikkonen.
Raikkonen will replace Felipe Massa, who is leaving Ferrari at the end of the current season.
