The young Frenchman has really caught the eye in Ligue 1 this season, as well as in the Champions League in Monaco’s run to the quarter-finals, which also included an impressive victory over Arsenal at the Emirates Stadium.
Kondogbia’s deflected effort opened the scoring for Monaco against the Gunners, and his overall performance showed why he is so highly rated, particularly as Arsene Wenger’s side clearly lacks a player of his calibre in that position.
Many other big names have been linked with moves to Arsenal this summer, but the Daily Mirror claims Kondogbia could now be a priority for the club as they look to strengthen what has long been a problem position.
Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid and Valencia are also mentioned as suitors for the 22-year-old, who has played in Spain before with Sevilla.
