Commons feels defender responsible after Champions League drubbing
Celtic midfielder Kris Commons has blamed defender Efe Ambrose for his team’s 3-0 defeat to Juventus in the Champions League.

Ambrose, 24, only arrived in Glasgow on the day of the game having been in the victorious Nigerian squad at the Africa Cup of Nations, but was included to start by manager Neil Lennon.
The defender gifted Juve two goals and also missed his side’s best opportunity when he headed straight at Gianluigi Buffon.
Ex-Derby man Commons is in no doubt where the blame should lie.
“The manager picked him. The manager pulled him to one side and asked him if he was feeling okay. He said he was feeling brilliant.
“If he wasn’t feeling okay then he should have said so. If he felt good then he should have put in a better performance.”
The Bhoys dominated the game for large periods and spurned several chances in their defeat but the individual errors are riling the Scottish winger.
He added: “It was just very sloppy individual mistakes – something you’d probably get away with on a playground, not in the last 16 of the Champions League. There are certain individuals who let the team down.
“Hopefully this is just a one-off. The back four have made errors which have probably cost us the tie. But it’s partly down to them why we’re here in the first place. It’s just a bitter one to swallow.”
The Hoops have a mountain to climb in the return fixture but having seen their side unexpectedly get this far fans can still dream.
