LA Galaxy forward was speaking to Fox Soccer Daily.
Landon Donovan could be moving abroad at the end of the season, an interview with Fox Soccer Daily suggests. The USAMNT veteran has hinted that he will be willing to consider some of the offers which have been made to him by clubs abroad, but will wait until the offseason to make a decision.
“Right now I am enjoying myself, I want to continue enjoying myself, we have received offers from teams in different countries that are intriguing,” Donovan said.
“I am still going to speak with the Galaxy and see how they value me and see where they want to go, going forward, but I am really open in a way that I haven’t been before in the past. I was pretty content to stay in LA. But if it doesn’t work out and we can’t come to an agreement here then I am ready for a different challenge and we will see what happens.”
Such talk suggests Galaxy will have to pull out all the stops to woo their DP into staying, as the promise of a European dalliance is always a temptation for MLS players. Donovan speaks fondly of his two loan spells with Everton which were by all accounts successful, and his form for club and country means his suitors are likely to be attractive.
Donovan has six goals and five assists in 14 appearances so far this season for the Galaxy, recently scoring a hat trick against FC Dallas in a 3-3 draw.
