Speculation is rife that ‘D12’ mocked Kobe in the locker room ahead of All-Star game.
According to the New York Post, the problems continue between Los Angeles Lakers pair Dwight Howard and Kobe Bryant, following a new incident at All-Star weekend.
The Post claims that Howard did his best impression of Bryant, not for the first time, in the Western Conference locker room ahead of the 2013 All-Star game in Houston on Sunday night.
Taken from the report: “We’re told that Howard ‘grabbed Kobe’s uniform, put it on, and imitated him in front of all the other players on the West team. He was joking and berating Kobe’.
The source added Bryant later arrived in the locker room, ‘said hello to everyone except Howard, grabbed his stuff and moved as far away from Howard as he could”.
The latest speculation will likely receive a denial in the forthcoming days, as both Bryant and Howard have been keen to play down talk of a feud between them.
However, having already have their issues this season, the latest reports will do little to ease the tension between the pair.
The Lakers duo have already fallen out publicly over Howard’s shoulder injury earlier this season, over which he told reporters that Bryant “was not a doctor”. According to the latest in a long line of reports, there is little to suggest relations are getting any better.
Bryant admitted during the All-Star break it didn’t matter what the Lakers did regarding Howard ahead of the trade deadline on Thursday. Whether Howard remains is still yet unclear, but it is more than likely he will still be at the Staples Center at least until the end of the season.
If that’s the case, both Bryant and Howard will need to work out any differences they might have with the Lakers struggling to secure a play-off spot in the Western Conference with a 25-29 record.
